Christine Alfery earned her Bachelors of Science degree, her Masters degree in Education, her Masters of Fine Arts degree and Ph.D minor in Contemporary Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Christine completed all her course work for a Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but she chose not to complete her thesis for political reasons.

Christine is a signature member of numerous art organizations including: The International Society of Acrylic Painters, the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Illinois Watercolor Society, the Missouri Watercolor Society, the Watercolor Society of Alabama and the Western Watercolor Society.  She annually has a solo exhibitions throughout the United States.  She is presently curator of the Howard Young Art Gallery, in Minocqua, WI.  She has received over 55 national awards and published over sixty publications of her work.

Christine’s studio is located in northern Wisconsin.
