“Snake Charmer” won an award at the Illinois National Watercolor Society for the Best Outstanding Abstract Non Representational painting.
“Snake Charmer” has been selected by show judge Laurie Goldstein-Warren for inclusion into the Illinois Watercolor Society 35th National Exhibition 2019.
“Snake Charmer “was accepted into the 2019 Women’s Works show.
“Snake Charmer- Circus Series,” was honored with a Merit Award in the Americas 2018: All Media exhibition.

Artblend Gallery of Fort Lauderdale, FL will also be featuring artist Christine Alfery in December during Art Miami Week and Art Basel.  “Snake Charmer” will be among the artworks featured by the gallery, along with other Women At The Circus.

Dear Christine – Congratulations! We are pleased to notify you that your work, “Snake Charmer—Circus Series,” has been accepted for inclusion in the Northwest Arts Center’s Americas 2018: All Media exhibition and selected for a Merit Award. This year, 70 artists submitted a total of 195 works for consideration. Your work was among 37 selected for the exhibition by juror Scott Parsons.

Scott was recognized by Art in America for creating one of the most significant works of public art in the United States in 2002. He has received national and international awards for his art, including multiple awards from the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture (IFRAA), a Knowledge Community of the American Institute of Architects, and multiple National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association Honor Awards. Parsons’ work is reviewed in more than 100 publications, including Architectural Record, Sculpture, Art in America, Stained Glass Quarterly, Public Art Review, Leonardo, the European Journal of American Culture, High Performance, and Museum Anthropology.

Americas 2018: All Media will be on display in the Walter Piehl Gallery on the campus of Minot State University from August 21 through October 6, 2018.
